Douglas

Property Maintenance

Douglas has been at Nox since 2016. He works in our maintenance team and is always a friendly face to see. Doug has always been some one with big dreams. Born in Zimbabwe, he originally worked in politics before he decided to make the move to South Africa. Douglas is the proud father of two children. His favourite things to do include watching rugby and football, as well as spending weekends fishing.

Kelly

Kelly Gifford

Projects & Marketing Co-ordinator

Kelly is a small town girl with a great love for the outdoors. After school, and some time in Australia, she moved to the Cape where she studied Management and specialised in Tourism and Events. She is a self appointed organisational nerd and can be found finding excuses to create (yet another) spreadsheet. When Kelly is not creating spreadsheets or organising something, you'll most likely find her sipping on some wine or taking in the beauty that is Cape Town.

Joe

Joe Tshona

Central Operations & Training

Joe began his journey in the tourism industry in 2002. He comes with experience obtained in the car rental sector and is proud to have had some of the leading accommodation establishments as his clients. He is extremely passionate about delivering service of the highest standards. Since joining the Nox team in 2016, he has changed role and now splits his time between Operations and training the Hosting team.

Hassan

Hassan Abdullah

Hosting

Hassan is originally from Malawi, but has been on adventures in Cape Town since 2007. Although he says there's no place like home, he believes Cape Town is full of new places to explore and that he still has so much to learn before returning home. Always thirsting to learn more, Hassan aims to grow with the company and further his knowledge in Tourism and Hospitality.

Property Maintenance

Billy is a born and bred Zimbabwean and joined the Nox Family in 2016 as a member of our Property Maintenance team. Billy is a very friendly face around the office and enjoys spending time with his family. He is a big soccer fan and also confesses to having a weakness for fish and chips!

Art Ngetyi

Guest Relations Consultant

Art grew up in small village of Wave Crest in Eastern Cape. After school he finished a short course in Tourism and then moved to Cape Town in search of new opportunites. After a stint as a waiter for a Casino, he later joined the Nox Group as a Guest Consultant. Art loves the Cape Town life and enjoys to share this with his guests.

Charlene

Charlene Schuller

Property Maintenance Administrator

From a very young age, Charlene has always been known as a chatter box. She loves meeting new people and exploring new places. Always up for a challenge, Charlene takes initiative and is not afraid of hard work. She loves working at Nox and has a made a few new life long friends since starting here in 2016. A true advocate of our core values, Charlene works hard with our Property Maintenance and Product teams to make sure our properties are kept running smoothly.

Brendan

Brendan Gradwell

Product Classifier & Quality Control

Brendan has over 20 years experience in the hospitality industry, with his main focus being on customer service, client satisfaction and product delivery. His primary goal is to ensure that our properties are kept to the highest possible standards and stocked with everything guests would need to enjoy their stay. He has a keen eye for detail and balance, making his role in Quality Control at the Nox Group perfect for him. He joined the team in 2016.

Audrey

Audrey Pollack

Reservations Consultant

At the young age of 22 Audrey jetted off to work at sea on the cruise ships. After 5 years and 80 countries, she came home to Cape Town to find her land legs and enjoy her beautiful home town. Audrey has two cats who follow her everywhere (she claims they are the most loving cats in the world.) Her passions include cinema, photography, travel, and finding the perfect holiday villas for our Cape Town visitors. Audrey joined the reservations team in early 2017.

Patience

Patience Ganjana

Hosting & Stock Control

Patience, our office mom, has a background in restaurants and restaurant management. She is exceptionally good at front of house and with both our guests and Nox family. Patience joined Nox Rentals in 2015, and now manages our office inventories and assists in the hosting department. She is also the mother of two vibrant young boys.

Kim

Kim Vetten

Accountant

After completing school in Durban, Kim spent time gaining valuable life experience in America, the UK and Europe. She spent time as a connoisseur of fine drinks, and later, furthered her travels as a yacht stewardess. When landing back on solid ground, she joined the accounts team of an engineering firm, where she gained a wealth of knowledge in the 4 years she was there. She now calls Cape Town her home and spends the daylight hours as a member of the Nox accounts team. A dedicated individual, Kim always gives 100% in everything she does.

Kirsten

Kirsten Podmore

Guest Service Consultant

Kirstin grew up in Kwa-Zulu Natal, but headed straight to her favorite part of South Africa after high school - the Western Cape. Her love for travelling and people then took her to Europe, where she entered into the yachting industry for the next 7 years. It is here that Kirstin learnt how to perform the salient service that is provided to some of the most discerning clientele in the world. Kirstin is passionate about hospitality and finds great satisfaction in perfecting holiday experiences for others. Kirstin brings to our team a calm and nurturing manner that makes any guest feel instantly at home and relaxed in her presence.

Augustine

Property Maintenance

Augustine is one of the members of our maintenance team, making sure all properties are kept up to scratch. Augustine, a father of three, is Zimbabwean born and bred. After school he studied a Diploma in Education then went on to teach in Zimbabwe. Augustine decided to move to South Africa a few years ago to join the construction industry. He has a great love for fishing as well as volleyball, and enjoys time with family and making new friends. In the future, Augustine plans to further his studies.

Guest Relations Consultant

Themba joined the aviation industry 17 years ago, where he got the opportunity to travel to Europe. His experience overseas had made a lasting impression on him and has served as his inspiration behind his currrent role - providing our guests with the best possible service during their stay. Themba has loved being part of the Nox family since he started in 2016.

Augustine

Stephen Monde

Property Maintenance

Zimbabwian born and bred Stephen, is a proud husband and father. When he is not watching his favourite sport, soccer, he enjoys meeting new people and spending time with his friends and family. His interests include going out and discovering new places in the city or listening to some of his favourite Zimbabwean musicians. Stephen joined the Nox family in 2016 and is part of the Product team, maintaining our portfolio to the highest standard.

Siya is originally from the Eastern Cape but now finds himself loving the Cape Town life. He enjoys meeting different people from all over the world and therefore his role in Guest Relations suits him to the tee! Siya joined the team in 2016.

Sisanda joined the Nox team in 2016 and has been running the ApartHotel operations since. She is a self driven and motivated team member and a mother of 2 young girls. In her spare time, you will find Sisanda reading a good book, shopping or researching her next trip.

Paul

Paul Drake

Guest Relations Consultant

Paul grew up in Cape Town completing his schooling at Rondebosch Boys High. After doing a course in Business Computing at Damelin the travel bug got him and he spent a few years working and travelling overseas visiting Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia. After returning to Cape Town he started showing others his home country taking tourists to Cape Point and the Winelands later becoming a qualified tour guide. The long days days in the hot sun started getting to him and found employment at a competing hospitality company before moving over to Nox Rentals in 2016. He loves being on the road visiting Nox properties dealing with whatever issues come up. In his limited spare time he likes taking long walks along the Sea Point Promenade or a drive into the countryside.

Owen

Owen Barends

Systems Administrator

Owen has 17 years of hospitality experience which comes with a wealth of expertise allowing him to proactively approach most situations. He has a passion for creating a WOW customer experience and in his previous employment, he was exposed to the international booking industry which further honed his skills and experience in customer service. Owen joined Nox in 2016.

Martin

Martin Visser

Nox Property Sales

Hailing from a successful property family, Martin heads up Nox Property, which is our property sales division, launched in 2017. Martin has sold property since 2010 and was in the top 3 leading agents for Engel Volkers nationally in South Africa for the past 3 years. Martin has a wealth of knowledge and is extremely committed to his clients, always making sure their needs are met. Martin has family in Europe and has sold almost 90% of his property to European clients through his networks.

Leslie

Leslie Camden

Property Maintenance

Leslie is part of the Product team and works on maintaining the properties. He was born and brought up in Cape Town and loves the Mother City. Leslie has a passion for helping others and volunteers at safe houses or helps at foster homes. If he's not doing this in his spare time, you'll find him doing something active like racing oval track cars or playing rugby.

Jess

Jess Baker

Central Operations & Acquisitions

As a classically trained performer, Jess has a passion for people, creativity and rising to new challenges. Her strong work ethic, organisational and management skills are her biggest assets in making the most of every opportunity. Joining Nox in 2016, Jess had been part of the Operations Team and learned the ins and outs of exceptional service delivery from some of the best in the game. She now looks after new business development and liaises with the Nox Group's property partners (owners).

Keagan

Keagan Blunden

Central Operations & Partner Services

With nearly a decade of corporate experience, Keagan brings with him an acute understanding of the ins and out of professional business practice, client satisfaction and operational development. His time at multinational organisations has given him a keen sense of global market trends and expectations, as well as a skill-set engineered to address a myriad of different situations and challenges. Currently, he puts his passion for people, attention to detail and proactive approach to use as a senior member of the Operations team at The Nox Group, and has recently taken on responsibilities in our Partners division.

Juan Joubert

Property Maintenance

Juan joined the Nox family with a wealth of maintenance and handy-man experience. He has been in the business for the last decade and is working his magic to ensure that our properties remain in high quality appearance and operation, ready for the busy seasons ahead.

Tamsyn

Tamsyn Burt

Accountant

Tamsyn joined the accounts department in January of 2012 and soon proved herself an asset to every department with her willingness to help out wherever she can. Now affectionately known as the ‘Random Task Manager’, she has become the go-to person for almost anything Nox-office related, although her main role still lies in heading up the Accounts team. When she’s not running spreadsheets or manning the Nox fort, Tamsyn will admit to being a well-seasoned expert at the traditional South African braai but adds that she enjoys cooking in general. Her friendly, outgoing and passionate character has brought a great buzz to the team and we are very lucky to have her.

Richard

Richard Marshall

Founder

Richard studied B. Bus. Sci at the University of Cape Town, before working in the banking industry in the UK. He returned to SA in 2001 and started his first tourism focused start-up (a scheduled nightlife tour operator) in 2002. Since then, Richard has been involved in starting and growing six other businesses. He is now focused primarily on growing The Nox Group and, when not working, spending time with his wife, Lyndal, and their two young children.

Dan

Daniel Caley

Maintenance Manager

Dan joined Nox Rentals in November 2009 to head up the Property Maintenance division. His expert skills ensures that all of our villas and apartments are free from any physical defects, our partners are provided with property reports, and any daily maintenance issues are resolved as efficiently as possible. His wealth of knowledge and experience in the industry has ensured that we are able to offer an informed, comprehensive Property Management service - an offering which has proven to be invaluable when taking on daily maintenance and medium-sized refurbishment projects.

Matt

Matthew Harmer

Hosting Training and Development

Matt grew up in the Kingdom of Swaziland and brings with him a love of all things Africa. He has spent a great deal of time in Game Parks and confesses to being a fan of bush-whacking. He enjoys travelling and has done many a tour ranging from tenting to hotels and most recently embarked on an extensive journey through Mozambique. Matt spent the last few years managing his family’s Property Maintenance company in Swaziland and discovered Nox on a holiday to Cape Town. Matt began his Nox career in 2013 as a Guest Relations Consultant, but now joins Osman in the Hosting team and advises when needed in Guest Relations. He is without a doubt the best go-to person for all thing Africa-travel advice.

Tim

Tim Van Wyk

Product Manager

Tim joined the Nox Guest Relations team in 2013 and brings with him unique travel experiences and a great sense of humour. He's completed his sea miles for his RYA Offshore Licence and has sailed across the Atlantic from Cape Town to the Caribbean. Despite the sea legs, Tim is a local, schooled at Rondebosch Boys High. Now committed to land, he is married and the father of 2 young boys. When asked to describe himself, he’ll admit to being fond of the finer things in life – good wines, delectable meals and plenty of R&R. This skipper now heads up the Nox Product division, making sure our portfolio of properties stays up to standard.

Osman

Osman Mirambo

Hosting Manager

Osman joined Nox Rentals in 2009 after years of dedicated work in many areas of hospitality. He is efficient, hard working and has a keen eye for perfection. He is responsible for ensuring that the properties are ready for guests arrivals and that they are left in the right state upon guest departures. After heading up the Guest relations team for 3 years, he is now in charge of the Hosting department and runs a tight shop. Ozzie is a very kind and warm person and extremely helpful to guests. He is an asset to the Nox Team. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family.

Tamara

Tamara O’Keeffe

Reservations Manager

Tamara joined the Nox team in 2011 and has worked in most divisions, which gives her an amazing knowledge of the company. Currently, Tamara is Head of Trade Reservations for the Nox Group, having previously worked in a Reservations, Operations and Guest Relations capacity. She’s a team player and goes out of her way to help both clients and colleagues. Coming from a tour operator background, she’s well acquainted with high-end luxury properties (which is why she loves the Nox portfolio.) Outside of work she enjoys spa treatments, the odd adrenaline rush (she lost both shoes skydiving!), and is best known for her straight forward sense of humour.

Eva

Eva Bauerrichter

Head of Operations

Eva had a brief introduction to the Tourism Industry in 2003 whilst completing her studies at UCT in Organizational Psychology. She then followed her passion for the film industry working on set with her dog and training young starlets. She returned into the tourism pool and joined Nox Rentals in April 2009 as a Guest Relations and Reservations Consultant. Almost a decade later, having worked through various roles, Eva continues to implement improvements and now heads up the Operations division.

Charlotte

Charlotte Metelerkamp

Head of Sales & Distribution

Joining Nox in 2007 as a member of the Reservations and Guest Relations team, Charlotte has proven herself an indispensable member of the Nox family. Her experience and passion for what we do have seen her grow into heading up the sales, reservations and distribution departments, as well as a position as a strategic member of the management team. When she's not focusing her energies on work, she spends time with her husband, Peter, and their little boy, Christopher.

Lauren C

Lauren Clarke

Reservations Consultant

Lauren grew up in Malawi but did her schooling and tertiary education in South Africa where she received her degree in Business Administration. She worked at a family Game park in Malawi for a while building experience in tourism. After moving back to South Africa in 2015 she started working at Nox Rentals where she has been part of the reservation team and later on taking up some responsibility in marketing. Her passion for travel and social media have become her career and she brings new ideas and inspiration to all areas of her job. She brings friendliness and professionalism to the work environment as well as to all her clients.

Sheri

Sheri-Ann Keller

Reservations Consultant

Sheri began her career at The Nox Group at the end of 2014 and says she enjoys the family enviroment and the continuous learning curve she finds herself in on a daily basis. Her first role at Nox was in Admin in the Guest Relations/Operations team. After a couple years, Sheri moved over to the Reservaions team where she quickly learnt the ropes and now heads up the Online Travel Agent enquiries. She is also a key member of the Culture team, which works toward creating a happy office enviroment, with the goal "to make work a place you want to be". Sheri loves the challenges she's presented with as she enjoys continual improvement.

Tyler

Tyler Allen

Guest Relations Consultant

Tyler joined the Nox team in 2015 on a part time basis during his study leave and loved it so much that he decided to stay! He grew up in Soutth Africa and moved to the UK in his teenage years. He has traveled to many destinations around South Africa and Europe and enjoyes meeting guests from all over the world!

Peter

Peter Mirambo

Guest Relations Consultant

Born close to Lake Malawi, Peter started working in hospitality at the age of 19, where he found his love for travel. After a couple of years in the industry, he decided to move to Cape Town in search of new opportunities. He started working in Camps Bay, managing 12 apartments, and after honing his skills for 7 years, he joined Nox Rentals. Peter is now one of the top team members in the Guest Relations division. He is a people's person and a proud Man United supporter.

Mike

Yudi Michael Patrick

Guest Relations Manager

Mike, also known as "Paddy", hails from the beautiful Swaziland. He joined the Nox team in 2015 and is responsible for overseeing our Guest Relations team. A lover of football, Mike is also the proud father to young Sam. Paddy is well known around the office for his incredibly friendly personality and delicious curries!

Wilfred Morreira

Property Maintenance

Will has been part of the Nox Rentals family since 2015 and has been in the handy man industry for the past 30 years. Originally from Johannesburg, Will loves to spend time with his family and entertain friends in his free time.

Sam

Sam Castle

Product Co-ordinator

Sam, born and bred in Cape Town, joined the Nox family in 2014, in the maintenance division. With 7 years of maintenance and construction experience behind her, It was a fantastic "fit". She now heads up the Prodcut team, where she is thoroughly enjoying the upgrading and improvement projects across the portfolio. She says that it gives her great satisfaction and joy to see the progress and outcome of the projects. When she's not working - Sam enjoys being outdoors in our beautiful city, camping and spending time with her 'furkids'.

Kerri

Kerri-Ann Burt

Marketing Administrator

Kerri joined the Nox Family in 2015, fresh out of school. Her willingness to learn and get involved is ever present and you can find her helping in each and every division. Her main responsibilities lie in the Distribution division and under the guiding hand of Charlotte she has grown and developed in her role. You can always find her singing away and giving out fashion advice. She has a great passion for what she does and is looking forward to learning and gaining more experience and knowledge at Nox as her skills develop.

Lauren B

Lauren Paioni

Reservations Manager

Lauren has been part of the family since 2013 and considers the Classic Villas division her baby. She has grown extensively in the last year and now heads up the Direct and OTA Reservations teams for the Nox Group. Her love for travel and people was discovered when she braved the USA soil and spent a year with similar minded foreigners looking for adventure, picking up new skills, learning about different cultures, drinking many margaritas and making life time friends who she now considers extended family. Being taught the ropes by Charlotte, she now offers her advice and making use of her people skills to make sure she find the perfect holiday accommodation for those travelling to our shores.

Charlie Gordon-Findlayson

Head of Service

With over a decade of experience in the hospitality industry Charlie has a keen understanding of how to deal with any situation which could be thrown at him. He strongly believes that the client's needs must be looked after first, as without them, the industry would not be in existence. Working with people has always been a strength of Charlie's, and he enjoys engaging with and satisfying the Nox partners, which is his main role at Nox. He joined the team in 2016.

Nick

Nick Taylor

Managing Director

Nick has a background in the tourism & hospitality industry, having studied hotel operations through the International College of Hotel Management (ICHM) and having worked with the Red Carnation Hotel Group for 6 years in South Africa and the UK. Nick is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and over the past 10 years has partnered with The Nox Group’s founder, Richard Marshall, in driving the strategic direction of the business. Nick grew up in Natal but is now an adopted Capetonian through marriage, and is a father of two young boys.
