Camps Bay Holiday Apartment w Private Pool CBT Palm Suite

The location is what makes this property worth the money - the view is amazing and the pool and exterior are lovely. However there are aspects that lets this property down.
1 - from the beginning of the booking I had received information from Richard on the Airbnb platform and also on the host setup of NOC which got confusing as there were different terms and conditions. And then on the lead up to the stay we were contacted about paying an additional deposit (luckily we had already queried this when booking so I knew to push back on this.
2 - solar wasn’t working. As we know the pain of load shedding this was one of the reasons we booked this property however it was not working. Having looked at previous reviews this seems to have been happening for a while so we would have appreciated a heads up about.
Be aware that there are stairs going up to the property as well as the ones around the apartment.
The beds aren’t the comfiest and they do Squeek a lot at night!

Location of this place is beautiful and is primarily what you’re paying for. Safe, and walkable day/night within a few minute walk to great restaurants and bars. The pool is nice but practically useless in the colder months as it’s not climate controlled. Load shedding was a bit of an issue, if that can get fixed this place would be 10 times better and make it worth it.

I rented this place on behalf of my mum (with permission of the host, whose communication at the booking stage was excellent).
We would like to start by saying the apartment is lovely, just as photographed, the views are stunning with the most wonderful sunsets. The location is excellent, a short walk to the beach and restaurants. Great parking also.
However, before checkin i was contacted by an agent, Nox. They kept contacting me instead of my mum despite my asking them to contact her directly. They sent a form asking us to fill it in and to pay an additional fee. I responded querying what this was for as we had paid Airbnb in full. I was told no need to do this if we had booked through Airbnb. However on arrival my mum was required to pay the fee.
loadshedding backup failed and they were completely without electricity. Battery lights were provided but insufficient in number. Washing machine also delivered.
Beautiful place, but let down by issues experienced.

We were extremely disappointed with our stay. We only stayed in Camps Bay 3 nights for our first experience. The apartment has wonderful potential bc of its view and location. However, We could not sleep because the FULLCIRCLESOLAR device beeped and rang throughout the first two nights. I spent an hour on a chair going through an online user manual trying to trouble shoot so we could sleep but was unsuccessful . The second night of the loud ear piercing ringing lasted 15 hours and we had to take blankets and pillows and sleep outside in the cold. We also booked this location based on the advertised private pool. However, we could not use it because the water was green and filthy. Our dryer, bathroom light, and stove didn’t work. The host said they will give us a discount the next time we come to Cape Town if we choose to stay at one of his locations. We are from the states, that will not happen any time soon. There should a be a discount for this stay, not a hypothetical future stay.

The location and views from the home are amazing. While some of the amenities are a little dated the house itself is fine and the check is was smooth. It’s a great location to be able to jump off from to see many of the local area sites as well s very walkable to restaurants. I’d recommend it to anyone.

The location is stunning and the views are amazing. The place itself is a little in need of renovation but clean and well appointed. The only issue we had was the pool was filthy, and despite a couple of promises nothing was done about it. We also had a power cut for 18 hours at the end of our stay and no one responded to our messages about that either. Nox definitely need to improve their customer service!

The experience was amazing and enhanced by that that they had an inverter and electric blanket. Honestly can't complain, Mavis(the cleaning lady) and the guy that cleans the pool came and did their part.

the apartment has a beautiful view of the ocean and is perfect for a short vacation. our only comments are the stairs. there are maybe 30 stairs to get to the apartment and inside the unit every room has a different elevation, so the unit also has many steps.

My husband and I stayed in Richard's rental for the latter part of our honeymoon. We decided we wanted to stay in a walkable area of Cape Town to rest and refresh before our long journey back home. Richard's rental in Camps Bay fit the description perfectly. Not only were the views from every room in the apartment an absolute dream, but the location was extremely great for us to walk over to the beach and all the trendy shops and restaurants in Camps Bay. NOX, the management company was very helpful and even met us for check-in with a couple of treats and a bottle of wine, so thoughtful! We loved our time in Cape Town and would definitely stay at Richard's rental on a return trip!

The view. Staff warm and friendly. The dishwasher. The daybed. Good shower pressure and warm water. Beds comfy. Electric blankets. Good quality toiletries. Pool was clean and clear. Again, the view.
Dusty behind TV, on books, kitchen lamp shade, top of cupboards, beaded wire bowl (had to use different bowl for fruit). Kitchen not as well equipped as expected and some equipment quite outdated. Lounge needs a comfy chair or two. Decor could do with an update as it's currently a bit of a mishmash. Throws appear old. Hear every movement from floor above. Towels not generous in number (only one each) or size.

Our enjoyment of Cape Town was helped by the many thoughtful touches in the apartment, such as a set of UK sockets (especially helpful for those whose universal travel adapter wasn't). The rooms were spacious, particularly useful with children, and it was well equipped throughout.

This place was ideally located directly infront of the ocean and from the balcony we got the most spectacular views of the varying sunsets whilst having a braai (barbeque) with friends. The kitchen was well equipped and the place was clean on arrival. Although they did not come and service the place over the weekend (it was the long Easter break), they left us more than enough towels etc which was housed under the main bed. The only downside of this place is the lack or rather no reception for our Wifi and the pool although it was advertised as having solar heating, was freezing. His excuse was that the wind made it cool, which was not true if it was really solar heated in the first place. Be aware that there are many steep steps to the apartment so may not be a good idea for older people or those with disabilities.

Thank you for your review of Camps Bay Terrace Palm Suite. Any heating in pools is lost if there isn't a cover, so whilst the edge of the chill is taken off, the water will never be very warm. We arrived early September for my high school reunion and found a flat with the most beautiful views possible. Spacious with everything although of a previous generation, in good working condition. September usually a mild month, was somewhat on the cold side but we were not deterred and heated beds were warm enough. Of course like most of Cape Town I would imagine, there appears to be little need for central heating. Those walking around in the flat upstairs could be heard through the ceiling and if there are frail elderly folks, I would suggest they check accommodation for steps, within and without. We enjoyed the workout and overall we found the experience of renting there for 2 weeks absolutely delightful. One tip though, please try and use a small car. We can happily recommend this home away from home.

Unlike other countries, most people travel around the cape by car. Limpieza y servicio muy buenos. Dicen en la descripción que dispone de linea wifi gratuita y no es cierto, ni gratuita ni de pago, no se recibe la señal. Te dan largas diciendo que van a resetear el Wifi, pero en 5 días no conseguimos que hubiera señal. Las pisadas de los inquilinos del piso de arriba suenan con intensidad en todo el apartamento, y por la noche si se mueven, corren o mueven los muebles, no se puede conciliar el sueño. Si no hay inquilinos arriba y no necesitas Wifi, el apartamento es perfecto.

This has since been replaced by two individual routers per property so this problem should have been sorted. Cape Town is an extraordinary City to visit. The region is just amazing: beaches, museums, history, penguins, the peninsula, the winelands, etc etc. One of the best places in Cape Town is Camps Bay: safe place, great beach, great restaurants. But Camps Bay can be busy and noisy. Camps Bay Terrace Palm Suite is just a few steps away from busy Camps Bay, but with all the quiet, and an extraordinary view, an extaordinary pool. With 2 large beds and bathrooms, it's suitable for a family with 2 childrens or 2 couples sharing. Noxrentals provides the best service you can get there. But you will anyway need the minimum, because the place is great, security top and everything is provided to you. The Cape area is just steps away : Hout Bay, Chapman's peak a few kms away, as well as Waterfront, City Bowl and Table Mountain. And the sunsets, the 12 apostels, the view. The worst experience is when you leave the keys...

We were met by friendly staff despite it being 23:00 hrs and an entourage of 5 very jet lagged adults. We were given information regards all tourist attractions and the best places to eat in town! The apartment is well situated with beautiful views of the ocean. Sunset cocktails are simply superb on the terrace. The apartment is well furnished and has all the amenities required by self catering accommodation. We had an awesome stay and were very sorry to leave. We hope to return some day!

Camps Bay Terrace is situated just a 5-10 minute walk from the restaurant stretch along Camps Bay seafront and it's surprisingly safe to walk around late into the evening. After having traveled all over Sa it was a great place to sit back and relax. The accommodation is superb and has all the equipment needed for a long and comfortable stay. The location is ideal for all the sites around CT, 1h beautiful drive to Cape Point and only 10 min from the city center and waterfront. The views are spectacular with the 12 apostles stretching out behind the property and a small rocky bay just in front. We will certainly pick Camps Bay next time in Sa!

We spent two weeks in the apartment September/October. The road below is very busy and noisy - must be dreadful in high season. Total lack of privacy and constant interruptions were a nightmare and ruined our holiday. The owner lives above and despite us saying that we only wanted a weekly cleaning service, the maids came in at varying times most days. Chairs were removed from around the pool and heating in the flat turned off - it was incredibly irritating. Security - for the last 3-4 days of our holiday we had numerous visits from the security company as an alarm in the upstairs empty flat kept going off.... Day before we came home they visited more than six times... we told the rental company and the owner to no avail although the owner has now changed security companies. She also said this had happened four times before - so why was it not dealt with before? The bathrooms are very tired with scratched mirrors/baths, no extractor fans so cold and clammy and re-grouting and re-tiling necessary. The apartment is very expensive for what it is. Also the equipment is very old and tired - very temperamental washing machine/drier and really basic cooking stuff missing, i.e.: set of knives, serving dishes. Great location and beautiful view - lovely restaurants and bars nearby. Theatre on the Bay is great!

Beautiful view from this apartment but it is very noisy, what you don't see from the photograph is that the busy main coastal road is right in front of the pool. Very convenient location but would be an absolute nightmare in high season because of traffic. Nice selection of cafes and bars on your doorstep which was very convenient. Loved Theatre on the Bay where we saw excellent production of Cabaret. The apartment is not particularly well equipped and washing machine is old and noisy, rather temperamental. Basic stuff missing like no decent knives for cooking, lost items (ice bucket etc.) not replaced. Our huge issue was with daily cleaning service and security... My husband spends his working life in hotels so we specifically enjoy self catering to give us privacy. We told the owner that we did not want a daily cleaning service, weekly was fine. However she wanted it done at least every other day so the condition of the apartment could be checked!!! We had cleaners turning up at all hours of the day. there was a major security problem as there was a fault with the alarm system with the apartment upstairs. For the last three days we had non stop visits, at least six on one day! We told the security company to contact the owner and the rental company but to little avail and nothing was done. As we were leaving for the airport she came to say goodbye and said that this had happened at least four times before and that she had now changed companies. If it's a known problem why did it go on for so long? The constant visits and lack of privacy spoilt our holiday. So - good points - beautiful view, near to lovely beach, tidal pool, restaurants and bars Bad points - horrendous traffic and noisy, total lack of privacy because of cleaners, pool boys, gardeners, security staff. Apartment needs extractor fans in bathrooms which were damp and clammy and bathrooms need alot of work - (re tile etc.) as quite scruffy. Bad marks in bath and on mirrors.

We stayed here a few years ago, not 2011, just forgot to add review. So if you are visiting Cape Town, Camps Bay is the place to go and Terrace Palms Suite is a wonderful place, you could sit and watch the views all day. The place is spacious, clean and a great location. The pool is cold but you get used to it very quickly, the bedrooms, both with ensuite are very comfortable. Camps Bay centre is just far enough away to be quiet but close enough for bars, restaurants and shops. Most restaurants we tried were great, if you love fish you love them here. Place feels safe, even at night and beaches are great during the day. Cape Town is a short bus or car journey away with a vibrant life going on all day. Simply a place to visit before you die.

We have stayed at camps bay terrace twice before and have been delighted every time. The apartment is charming and well equipped, the attention to detail is amazing. There is everything one could want and the views are breathtaking. Gila runs the perfect setup and we would recommend it to anyone.

Initally found the CBT Palm Suite absolutely fantastic. Great location, well appointed, clean property. Great service from Nox Rentals. However, on day 2 a large group with children had booked the property immediately above the Palm Suite. This severely impacted the noise levels in the Palm Suite. It literally sounded like a herd of elephants was living upstairs from the early hours of the morning until late in the evening. If nobody is staying upstairs I would highly recommend the CBT Palm Suite, otherwise I could not recommend it at all. On the other hand, I do highly recommend Nox Rentals for their excellent customer service, especially Oz!

The home has ethnic decor and the views are absolutely awosome from the bedrooms and from the lounge.The place is very homely and comfortable.The design unique and chic. Due to weather we didn't get to enjoy the pool area but it looked stunning. Situated just across the street from the ocean and very close to the shops (5 minutes walk). Liked the prompt service and availability from Ashley (the assigned consultant.Like the least was the experience with the late deposit back and having to follow up ourselves instead of getting courtesy calls re the cash deposit process (times re delays). Firtsly Nox Rentals. 5 star service from first contact on internet until we left after our break. could not praise them enough. As for the CBT, looks better in the flesh than it does on the pictures and they're good. Really friendly staff to clean etc. Rooms are great and views across Camps Bay, especially the Sun sets are amazing. Everything, the location, the views, the rooms, the pool, the barbecue.
Having stayed a bit further up the road earlier in our trip and been a bit disappointed we were overwhelmed by this property and sad we hadn't stayed on both occasions. The property is just moments away from the shops, bars and restaurants of Camps Bay with incredible views over Bakoven bay.
There is a lovely terrace with a bench table and ample space for sun-loungers by the pool which is cleaned regularly and plenty of space to barbecue which can be moved if there is a wind issue.
The interior is very cute with two lovely en-suite bedrooms and a nice little sitting room to watch a movie at night to wind down after a tough day on the beach.
Very good value and the staff were delightful.

Not much to complain about here except perhaps that indoor dining facilities are small if the weather is poor and there is only one key to the gate which means you have to co-ordinate well with co-guests if not coming and going at the same time.

Die Aussicht war super und die Lage zu Restaurants, Beach etc. war gut, nur wenige Gehminuten. Das NOX-Personal war freundlich und pünktlich. In der Unterkunft gab es sogar Waschmaschine und Trockner. Die Aufteilung der Räumlichkeiten war ideal. Jedes der beiden Schlafzimmer hatte Zugang zu einem eigenen Bad.

Man muss eine Kaution von 500 B£. hinterlegen oder alternativ eine Versicherung für £ 36 abschließen. Die Kaution gibt es erst 14 Tage nach Abreise zurück. Ist aber problemlos erstattet worden!

The view was jaw dropping here! The inside & outside was just like the pictures but somehow, still exceeded my expectations. The check in went well and the staff who helped us with our bags and showed us around the property was very friendly and timely. The maid came daily, even though we initially didn’t feel it was necessary, and it was nice to have clean and replenished toiletries & towels as well as a made bed. The ability to order a few grocery essentials thru the management company website and have them delivered in time for our arrival was such a nice touch! The location was great and in walking distance to many nice shopping, bars and restaurants as well as the beach. It felt safe with a police station only a few blocks down from the unit on the main road. The kitchen & bathrooms were well equipped for all of the needed comforts of home. While it was winter and too cold for us to swim in during our stay, it was still clean and looked to be maintained well. Looking forward to our next adventure to Cape Town, will definitely book here in the future!

The upstairs was rented out on our 2nd night and the tenants were noisy. However this was not the fault of the property. Also the power load shedding was an issue for the WiFi & refrigerator getting flipped off and couldn’t figure out how to turn it back on. The provided parking spot for the unit was a little difficult to maneuver when the the upstairs unit spot was also occupied. Lastly, it wasn’t a problem for our short stay but there are several steep stairs to get up to the unit from the street, so be advised.

the location is out of this world!! with a small secret beach across the road, the house was perfect for us!!

the people upstairs walked very loudly, jumping etc since early in the morning, so sleep time was limited. We Once thought they are coming through the roof and on inspection was told, they are doing burpees.

The apartment is so spacious and was so clean. The outdoor areas were also very spacious and the pool area is very private. The apartment seemed secure as there was fencing around it and a locked gate. Camps bay beach and shops are only 5 mins walk down the road, and there is a fabulous little beach just in front of the apartment (Bali beach). The apartment was very light and airy, and the view when the doors are fully opened out from the couch are just amazing. You can see the sunset from the apartment too. Jaryd checked us in and was so helpful, he answered questions we had about Cape Town and also allowed flexibility on check out. We were very happy with our stay! Kitchen is very well equipped too, and fresh milk, tea, coffee was provided for our stay.

We can't fault anything with our experience and it was just pure bliss! Hassan was awesome checking myself in, very professional and welcoming. The staff cleaning throughout the house and garden was incredible and our check out with Rudi was very smooth and easy. This place is a life goal home of mine to have one day and very grateful to have discovered this beautiful home. The touches of products in the bathrooms and all the amenities were the cherry on top of our experience. You cant ask for anything more: the incredible views, sunsets right in view of the pool (which is a lovely depth), the clean and stunning rooms. I was unsure what to expect. But this place to be prefect for my needs. The host met me and helped me settle in. And went out of his way to assist me with access to Netflix.
The view is to die for, I only wish it had of been warmer so that I could have got in the pool more. Only a short Uber rider to anywhere you need to be. The staff who worked there are extremely friendly and do a superb job.
If I find myself in Cape Town again I will be staying here.

What a find. Super reasonable, pool was divine. My mum needed help up the stairs and a railing came loose. The team fixed it within hours which was great and much appreciated. My family coveted my pics so much they are planning a booking too. Please check out the small beach across the road which I wouldn’t have found without directions so nice one guys.

Location and views absolutely perfect. Not a 5 star hotel but comfy and good value for money in that area. Was not there long enough to make use of the kitchen amenities but everything was provided. The outside veranda is perfect for relaxing and watching the ocean. Aircons in all rooms, big plus especially for the cold nights. Parking space was a bit worrying but it looks like that’s the norm in Cape Town.

The position of this property was perfect both in terms of the sea views and sunsets but also the short 5 minute walk to the number 8 stop for the red sightseeing bus. I can truly recommend the apartment. I spend 8 nights there with my husband and little son (5ys). You have an ocean view from every room- we enjoyed it so much. It's located very close to the restaurants, bars and Supermarket- walking distance. The street is a bit noisy in the rush hours, but the positive aspects outweigh by far! Tamara and her colleagues were friendly, always reachable and we felt superb being looked after. We would definitely come back.

I ran into one lil issue with the heating element but it was resolved immediately. That was phenomenal in my eyes. My only complaint is that I wasn't able to enjoy the complimentary wine that was provided. lol

The location was spot on. It is walking distance to, what I call the main strip (shopping/restaurants, etc), and watching the sun set from the balcony was spectacular. You can also catch the tour bus right off the main road. Excellent location.

I would definitely rent this flat again.

We absolutely loved this flat and had a fantastic holiday staying there. Location is both beautiful and convenient - overlooks Camps Bay, Twelve Apostles in the background; shops/restaurants of Camps bay are less than 10 mins walk away and Sea Point is a just a short drive away.

The apartment itself is light, airy, and well furnished. Nox Rentals staff were professional and courteous. They let us store our bags at their office after checkout since we had some time before our flight. Would highly, highly recommend this or any of their other properties.

You get caught up in the stunning surroundings and scenery. The service was great and everything worked as noted in the description. Meaning that they were there on time to open, handover keys as well as the cleaning service.
