Helicopters have a certain mystique about them, and nothing screams VIP quite like arriving by “chopper”. With that in mind, I looked into the option taking a helicopter trip for a special family occasion a few months ago. I was blown away, not just by the experience, but by how easily and inexpensively everything worked out.
We are now working with our aviation suppliers to offer this amazing way to experience Cape Town to all of our Nox Rentals guests.
A typical day will go something like this:
11h30: Transfer arrives to take you to the Helipad.
11h45: Briefing and administration at the Helipad.
12h30: Lift off! You’re on your way.
12h40: Enjoy the amazing views of Camps Bay, Clifton and the rest of the coast.
13h00: Land at Constantia Uitsig for lunch
16h00: Transfer arrives to take you back to your property.
Take a look at some of the pictures below. I hope they help to give some idea of what an amazing experience this is.
Constantia Uitsig is home to two absolutely outstanding restaurants in La Colombe and the Constantia Uitsig restaurant, so it is the ideal location to fly to, and being relatively close to the Waterfront the fuel cost is very reasonable.
We had a fantastic meal, enjoying three courses each and several bottles of excellent South African wine, and after a long lazy afternoon we took a very pleasant and scenic transfer back to our villa.
And what was the cost for this fantastic experience?
In total it came to about R12,000 for six people. At the current (June 2012) exchange rate that works out at £150.84 per person for the entire day! That is less than just the meal would cost at a top international restaurant.
All in all this is a really unforgettable experience and I recommend it highly. Contact us on email@example.com or +27 21 438 6440 to tailor make a similar experience for your special occasion!
