Family Home with Views Pool Garden 100 Geneva

Beautiful location in Camps Bay. walking distance to the beach and restaurants. big property with enough space for a family trip.
It was advertised as having wifi and air conditioning - both of which weren’t true. The wifi was a pay as you go system which wasn’t optimal for the many of us who remote work. The connection was intermittent and didn’t work at the bottom level of the house at all. We raised this with the rental agency and it was eventually repaired (on the second last day of our stay)but still didn’t work. There was no air conditioning at all- they did bring fans to supplement for this but definitely misleading. There are two fridges in the kitchen but the main big fridge didn’t work which means we had to store groceries for 13 people in one small fridge. Some of the gas plates didn’t work on the stove and the TV in the main bedroom needed fixing. While some of these issues were rectified after us bringing it to the rental agency’s attention, I believe that these things should be under ongoing maintenance given the exorbitant price one pays to stay here.

All agent blame to other agent no one thy to accept the responsibility or to guest feelings only worry about business I did not recommend to deal with this agent or company bcoz on booking .com thy is nothing written that u have to do verification or anything but after booking and pay money thy will tell you to do verification online upload your ID and Selfie please don't west time and money with this people try something else thy is lot more nice options.

Stayed property for 10 days but encountered several issues that made our stay less than enjoyable. After having major surgery we booked this place with intention of recovery with friends and family.The property is an older home with inadequate heating (house has small heaters and many of them in rooms had no option to plug into the outlets) a long flight of stairs from parking to house (no mention on listing), and a fridge that wasn't cooling and we found out the hard way where foodstuff had to be thrown away.(according to knox they are aware but owner does not want to replace) Despite contacting the host and Airbnb on check in our issues were not addressed and the non-refundable clause was enforced.(we had 2 book another place for guest that could not manage on stairs and needed heated room) We recommend caution when booking this property and suggest the host makes improvements.(cutlery short, heating inadequate, unit is over3 floors etc)Overall disappointed with our experience

Thank you for your review, we appreciate your feedback and details on the issues faced during your stay. The listing does have sufficient heating and we were always willing to provide a couple more heaters especially since the guest mentioned he had just had surgery. At the same time the guest requested to cut the stay short and check-out sooner with a full refund, but the request did not comply with the cancellation policy and terms. This caused a bit of confusion for the team in terms of supplying additional heating as we were not sure if the guests would stay for the entire period. The property has two refrigerators however the one fridge compartment is not cooling optimally whilst the other is fully functional. We are working on making sure both fridges are in perfect working condition. In terms of the stairs, the property description and images provide accurate infomation and we do mention that the property is over 2 levels with the four bedrooms, garden and pool area on the bottom level. We are so sorry for the negative experience during your stay and please rest assured of our commitment to make sure that all guests have the best possible experience of Cape Town while staying at a Nox property.

the house is very beautifully built. it has enough space. but its in urgent need for an upgrade, a wash, painting, new carpets, re-arrangements to the bedroom beds, how can a main bedroom have 2 singles, the braai bin stand is worn out (shame). we didn't even braai our meat. bedroom carperts are now smelly and needs a spring clean, they yard is sprouting with weeds, an so on. But the cleaning ladies did their best at all times to keep it clean for us. thanks to them, we will book this house again. regards justice

We rented the house over New Year 2017-18 and paid quite a lot of money for 14 people. We expected a tip top house and tip top pool. The house was fine as such. But the pool was totally green when we arrived and could not be used. This even though we had been promised an operational pool. We were told that it was because of the current drought in Cape Town. In fact, it was due to that the circulation of water had been turned off. There was enough water for circulation when we arrived, but the pool had not been attended to for some time and also the automatic device for cleaning of the pool was out of order when the circulation finally was turned on. It took 4 days and two chock treatments with chlorine to clear the pool, The pool had not at all been prepared for our arrival. In fact, it had been totally neglected by the agency! Our complaints resulted in nothing and with no compensation even though the pool could not be used for one third of our stay (the sea is very cold). It was not a good start on our stay. Especially not for the 6 children. We did not get what we paid for!

After the pool level dropped we couldn't get the required water to the property any quicker than was done. We acknowledge the incident impacted on your stay but it was due to circumstances outside of our control as such we did not offer any compensation, I do realise this cuts no mustard with you and that you believe it was poor pool management. We have never had to deal with a situation as dire as we are experiencing now and we know there are more frustrated guests like you after this season in Cape Town. The house was ideal for our party and also conveniently situated as we were doing the argus cycle tour. However we need to point out the following; 1. In nearly every room the curtains are either falling off the hooks because the end runners are missing and the hems are down dragging on the floor and they are all very dirty. 2. There is no air flow or fans/air conditioner in the flatlet at the bottom hence the room is very hot. 3. We had a severe sewerage blockage problem which caused a nasty smell. 4. The dishwashing machine was not working properly and the cleaning cycle had to be repeated several times in order to clean the dishes. 5. The kitchen was short or inadequately equipped or the equipment is old and outdated. We had no wine bottle opener for instance. 6. The shower in the bedroom downstairs at the far end of the passage was not working properly and water only trickled out of it. 7. The braai facilities are totally inadequate. Please contact me as we would like to rent the same property for next years argus weekend from Friday 6TH march 2015 to Monday 9TH march 2015 (please check that dates are correct)

Thank you for reporting this on the saturday monring and (as with the point below) the plumber attended to this as soon as possible. 4. The dishwashing machine was not working properly and the cleaning cycle had to be repeated several times in order to clean the dishes. We had the plumbers out within hours to attend to this 5. The kitchen was short or inadequately equipped or the equipment is old and outdated. We had no wine bottle opener for instance. We have replenished some of the missing items - thank you for raising this. 6. The shower in the bedroom downstairs at the far end of the passage was not working properly and water only trickled out of it. We have seen to this since and cleaned out the filters which has improved the flow. The lime content in the water often blocks the flow. 7. The braai facilities are totally inadequate. Luxury Villa 2mins drive from Camps Bay front. Very spacious, even if all the bedrooms were filled. Good sized pool and outdoor area with 5 sun loungers. Large table outside and bbq area. Nice ocean and lions head views. Secure alarm and security system. Although it took us a few goes to get into the swing of it to work it properly. Efficient and helpful service form Nox Rentals. Didn't want to leave!!!

The Villa was absolutely gorgeous and better than we ever expected with Modern furnishing, beautiful decor and completely spotless. The Villa is within walking distance to Camps Bay beach where there are plenty of good bars and restaurants. Highly recommended and would love to go back!

Overall we were pleased with our stay at 100 Geneva Drive. We were a large group from the us and our first trip to South africa. The property provided enough size and comfort for everyone from 6 to 67 years of old. Given the wide range of planned activities, the location was ideal for our first trip. The home offers great views of the coastline and the mountains. We did not expect the steep slopes from the house to the main road for the elders in the group. The biggest frustration of the group was the failure of the in-house Wifi. Through numerous calls and request to the property manager, this issue never was reliability fixed during our 8 day stay. This was also and educational trip and our normal lifestyle access to information and productivity was challenged. The cottage was a plus. Overall, we were pleased

100 Geneva is a large Villa and really is ideal for groups travelling to the Cape. We apologize for the lack of internet and we will review this for future bookings. In general though, it is vital to note that our connectivity speeds cannot be compared to those in the states. Wir waren mit 14 Freunden unterwegs und hatten somit alle Zimmer in Beschlag. Das Haus ist großzügig und jeder kann sich gut zurückziehen oder im Ess oder Wohnbereich zusammen sein. Leider ist die Ausrüstung der Küche nicht wirklich für 14 Personen, es fehlte uns an großen Töpfen, aber man muss erwähnen, dass wir Hobbyköche sind und fast täglich zusammen gekocht haben. Also die Küchenausrüstung ist verbesserungswürdig. Was auch nicht besonders gut war, es hat nur der Safe im Hauptschlafzimmer funktioniert !! Ein Kühlschrank an der Bar wurde reklamiert,aber bis zur Abfahrt kam kein Ersatz. Bei 14 Leuten mit einem Kühlschrank ebenfalls problematisch. Alles andere war sehr schön und wir haben schöne Abende verbracht.

We had a joint honeymoon with our friends after a wedding in Stellenbosch. This place absolutely blew our minds. The mixed group of friends were giggling like school children while running around the house exploring all the hidden gems. Beautifully decorated, lovely pool and the cleaning staff were absolutely amazing. What a great experience! I would highly recommend it to anyone above an over priced B&B; in the area. Only negative is the steep hill you have to climb after a day at the beach, but its a small price to pay and without it, you wouldnt have the view.

100 Geneva was an elegant home away from home during our one week stay in Cape Town. Easy access to the beach, downtown Cape Town, and a short (though uphill) walk to Table Mountain (great for morning exercise). Stunning views of sunset. The pictures at Nox website do not do the place justice. High points: Size of living/dining/porch areas; master bdrm was lovely; nice modern interior design throughout; safe; while not new, the house is well maintained; Nox team always friendly, flexible, available 24/7 and helpful. Low points: Pool (and ocean) too cold to swim in, even in summer; wireless internet only in one room; some bedrooms have bath tubs only (no showers). Other comments: Geneva Drive wraps around the house and has steady traffic, esp. during the day. But, this was not a problem for us. Plenty of space for parking if you rent a car; however, we found it even easier to call for taxis. Nearby Pic 'n Pay supermarket was very convenient. Highly recommended--well priced, 100 Geneva exceeded our (high) expectations in almost every way.

100 Geneva Drive is such a beautiful villa overlooking the ocean. Its huge, (7 bedrooms) as open spaces so that our whole family could just loiter around and relax. Liked everything about it except the open plan baths in some of the rooms. we had to share the shower in other rooms. Nox rentals were very helpful and Eva personally looked after us well, being there to answer our endless queries. Will certainly be back and also recommend others. najma

We had a wonderful family stay. The house is beautiful and has a perfect set up for a group stay. Innocent and Lauren were very friendly and easy to communicate with. The WIFI worked and we were pleasantly surprised to be unaffected by load shedding. The house is just as pictured and I would consider returning again. Thank you!

Just some feedback or heads up for future guests:
The Tv's is the rooms unfortunately stopped working after the 1st day but the main one in the lounge was enough for us to keep up with all the sports on the weekend.
There was no coffee machine (as advertised) or cushions for the pool lounges. Most of us also weren't provided with pool towels.
Some of the plugs in the bedrooms did not seem to work and the baths in the two singe bedrooms (with no showers) had no plugs. The one fridge did not work well and we could not store any food in it - the housekeeper did inform us of this as we arrived so we did not have to find out the hard way.

We loved staying here with our large family. It was conveniently close to all the restaurants at Camp's Bay--and it was only a $2 Uber ride to get there one-way. Everyone loved the house and the spacious bedrooms. The views of the ocean, Lion's Head, and Table Mountain were beautiful. If we go back to Cape Town we will definitely stay there again.

This house was brilliant for a large group staying in Cape Town. The house was clean, spacious and well located. The cleaner was really friendly and made sure everything was tidy during our stay.

There is a need for there to be an alternative source of power during loadshedding as you are unable to use anything in the house when the power is out and also only one set of keys has a key for the manual gate which means you can't get into the property when the power is out because the electric gate doesn't work.

Our stay was great and the Nox staff (Siphokazi) communication was really great so was the cleaning staff.

two issues to be resolved:
the two fridges kept leaking water the whole time of my stay. They need to be fixed or replaced. This was raised by previous guests according to Air BnB guest comments.

Ladtly the gate motor should have a basic battery back up during the eskom power outage. I was lucky the cleaner was around to show me how to manual override it.

We were 12 mostly retired friends traveling together, and, we had found a perfect home at 100 Geneva. If for nothing else, we would return for the sunset view from the house. All 6 rooms + a cottage are spacious and with an ensuite bathroom. It is a pleasant 15 minute walk down the hill to get to the beach side dining/shopping area. Ubers were readily available to drive us between the house and the city center (under$5). Nox management team was readily available, and, onsite day time caretaker, Tina, was wonderful. We don't always find a nicer place than home at Airbnb, but, this time, we have to admit this house was better than home.

Spacious house, well positioned. The noise of cars when outside can bother when one wants to relax close to the pool.

Really nice property with amazing views of the ocean and Lions Head. Dina the housekeep was great and makes the stay very pleasant and relaxing especially if you are a big group or large family. All rooms are ensuite which is also great and open up onto the balcony or garden.

Very spacious and centrally located. I would definitely recommend the property and Nox Rentals.

It’s very specious, beautiful and homely. And has wonderful views plus central to a lot of key points like Lions Head, Camps Bay Beach, Restuarent etc

The house is nice and as the images show. Very spacious for a group of 7 (that’s how many there were of us) close enough to the strip on camps bay to get food and the beach. Secure. We were there at the end of their winter. It still got chilly at night. There are heaters in the beds which was very helpful during the cold nights. The only problem was the separate heaters in the rooms didn’t really heat up the rooms at all. Overall pleasant stay.

The house is well maintained and clean. The location is really perfect and they have good security. Every single bedroom has a bath and toilet. Rooms are spacious and the house has a homey look & feel and has all the home necessity to make your stay extra comfortable.

The location is excellent and it’s very central to most amenities. It has a very good family feel about it, the place needs an upgrade though in terms of ambiance.
It is very old Victorian style.

Fantastic property that caters for large groups perfectly! There is more than ample space that is structured to allow for group and separate interactions without crowding each other. Nox Team were available from the initial booking all the way to check out. Would definitely recommend and shall be going back to Camps Bay and to this property after the winter.

Lovely spacious house, clean tidy and well equipped! Big pool! The house is completely surrounded by electric fences and at the front there is a huge electric gate (8-10 feet!) There is also an electric double garage. The house is in an exceptional location in camps bay! Amazing local restaurants which the whole family enjoyed!

The place is perfect for a big group of people as we were, lots of space, you have privacy and each room has it´s own private bathroom fully equipped (only one room doesn´t have shower only bathtub). Also the view is stunning, the sun sets over the sea next to a huge mountain right in front of the living area. Only two of the rooms have view to the sea (the ones on the upper floor, one doble and one with the two single bed) the rest are on the floor level, with view to the garden and the pool. The neighborhood is very beautiful, mostly houses, and also very quiet. Everything was perfect except the wifi that is a regular connection, good for 2 maybe 3 people, but for a big group becomes very slow. The house is very well equipped even with a washing machine and a dryer, also for some tips the housekeeping is happy to do the laundry and iron the clothes for you. Highly recomendable. It´s close to bars and restaurants on the sea side, at a walking distance if you want to do some exercise, if not an uber is recommended, but it´s not far away, just because the streets are up and down over the hill.
We would definitely book it again!
