Beautiful Apartment at the Waterfront Marina Altmore 001

We loved our stay at the marina waterfront. It’s the perfect base to explore Cape Town. The V&A waterfront has a great buzz with lots of live music and performance and a huge selection of restaurants. It’s very safe and we felt comfortable walking back to the apartment at night. The apartment itself is beautiful: even more spacious than it appears in the photos and immaculately clean. Would highly recommend!

Perfect location in front of the marina, spacious accommodations, cleaning service cones every day and you can get groceries at a store 10 min away by foot, very secure.
There was an ongoing noise in the kitchen area from either AC or some other equipment. Wasn’t a problem as much as you wouldn’t hear it from the bedroom but in the living room the noise was quite loud. The logistics of check is I why I would think twice about booking it again as in the last 24 hours before check in as I was making my way to CT both myself and my PA were pestered to fill in some paperwork on a third party website and pay deposits which we have already done months ago. So coordination between the hosts and HQ is very poor. They ultimately did figure out it was all done 3 months ago but this left me very disappointed. I was literally at a point of cancelling and booking another hotel while already in route. They also work with a third party provider so lots of fingers in the pie.

The location is amazing, it’s close to the marina and the V&A waterfront. The apartment is also very safe. The property was not very clean, the floors and rug were dirty and there was loads of dust. There was meant to be a cleaner to clean and bring supplies daily but with the taxi strike this didn’t happen which was ok but there was no communication at all about this so we had to get basic things like tissue which for the price we paid isn’t reasonable.

Location, security, level of comfort and appointments eg washer, dryer, dishwasher big fridge was excellent - including great hot shower and under-floor heating
Was bombarded with emails daily before check-in trying to re-verify ID through 3rd part data collection agencies - all totally unnecessary, very annoying and could easily have been data collection scams so we ignored them
Apartment needs backup power supply for the incessant power load shedding. We had no power for 6 to 9 hours a day total - every time we wanted to cook a meal!

That was my 6th pleasure visit to Cape Town and our stay at Altmore 001 is the best among them all. Macro was so welcoming and helpful. Smooth check-in and great communication. The apartment was so clean with a privilege of complimetary housekeeping. The heating and warming bedding are just adequate. Bathroom specious with a bidet. The view is spectacular from every single window. Complex with high security system and well situated perfectly within 5 min walk to the V&A waterfront. Thank you NOX for the good management of the property and we will definitely stay in Altmore 001 again.

One of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed at. The room is very spacious and well appointed, with separate living, bedroom and kitchen. The bed is huge and very comfortable. The outdoor seating area is fairly private (considering it is ground floor) and has a gorgeous outlook over the little waterway. Location is prime, less than 10 minutes to V&A Waterfront, and very easy access for Ubers to take you anywhere in Cape Town. The host was great, very responsive and met us on check in. We felt very safe and secure at the accommodation, and during loadshedding the wifi remained on and the apartment had a couple of back up lights. We loved it!

Peaceful, quiet and spotlessly clean. this is a lovely B and B. The hosts were welcoming and made me comfortable. coffee and tea facilities downstairs and in the room. Huge room with a stunning bathroom and balcony with lovely views. Breakfast was superb. Has beautiful gardens, patio and a lounge to relax in.

The property is in a good position on the waterfront, it was what we expected and had everything that you need, if you want to cook a meal or just have drinks and breakfast.
I would recommend this property for a stay in Cape Town.
There was nothing to not like about the property being so centrally located.

Fantastic accommodation, with beautiful views of the canal from all windows. Almost looks like you are in Venice. Super close to the V&A Waterfront making it very easy to get food, entertainment and more. Lovely sidewalks for taking a stroll. Would definitely go back.

Great apartment that is just like the pictures and a top notch location. Unfortunately there were issues with the security access when we were there, which meant we were unable to access the waterfront from our apartment. This should be an anomaly and shouldn’t happen to others. The Nox team is very responsive and willing to help.

Great place to stay for accessing the V&A Waterfront precinct. Better than a hotel if you prefer some privacy and the self catering option of a fully functional flat, but close enough for easy safe access to all the great eating and dining out experiences on offer.

We thoroughly enjoyed our fews days getaway in this lovely apartment. And will definitely consider it again in the future.

I had a serious issue with the fact that it was expected from me to pay a huge deposit as to ensure that if i break anything, then it needed to get replaced. this was in Pound, so if there is fluctuations then it is for my account? I have a Lodge, people book in and out all the time, and the risk is mine. Do an inspection before I go, in today's world a deposit into a bank account somewhere? i really never want to stay there again.

Beautiful and spacious apartment, walking distance to V&A and other Cape Town attractions. I travelled alone for work and wanted somewhere safe and close to restaurants and shops. The check-in and check-out were easy, communication with the Nox Team who manage the apartment was great. The Wi-Fi worked well.

The property was for self-catering and the kitchen had everything available to hand. The property was beautiful and so was the view from the large balcony! Altmore was very convenient for visiting the Waterfront and we made good use of all the shops and restaurants - the 10-15 minute walk even did us good. We had a great night's sleep every night.
Furthermore it was very easy to drive around Cape Town from our accomodation and the Airport was only 20 minutes drive away, as it also was to get to the winelands in Constantia. It was really great to see people rowing/paddleboarding in the Waterfront canals from our balcony! We felt completely secure at Altmore!

South African television was a bit limited. That was not the fault of Altmore. Sometimes the weather interfered with the TV reception.

Terrance who met us for the keys was great. Super friendly and pointed everything out to us in the home. Memory the housekeeper was amazing too. Location is great, very safe and secure.
Would definitely visit again!

It would have been helpful to have been made aware of load-shedding. We had no knowledge of this and where caught off guard every time the electricity did go off. After chatting to some locals we were made aware that there is a timetable and other residents know the times in order to be prepared. The 2 candles in the property were finished so couldn’t use those however there was one chargeable light which was handy. The property itself is great however it could do with a handy person to go in and touch up edges like grouting in the bathroom and little bits here and there elsewhere in the property. This didn’t effect the stay at all but was noticeable that it could do with a little touch up considering the location and price.

Close to Waterfront. Easy access. Easy check in with friendly staff

Altmore has no privacy as it's located at the end of the marina and opposite an pedestrian walk way for public. Noisy due to pedestrian walk way. Canal view, not harbour view. Ground floor unit with non private balcony. Also office building across the apartment which again eliminate privacy on the balcony during week days. Far away from gym ad main pool clubhouse.
I will not recommend Altmore building ( any apartment in this building) as the location within the marina is poor and not private. It's also the oldest building in the Marina and not updated. Bathroom was aweful and with poor water pressure. Vanity from the 80's. Aircon did not work well and super noisy, also from the 80's. Aweful couch if you can call it that? Furniture was just dreadful. You can stay for similar price on the opposite side of the Marina with full privacy, updated, comfortable furniture and close to the gym and main pool. In a nutshell, when you book any appartment in the Marina, make sure you stay close to the One and Only Hotel side or near the clubhouse pool and gym side.

The apartment is beautiful, very stylish decoration, has everything you could need and is located a few minutes walk from the waterfront and the mall. It is really amazing.

The agent requires a number of forms to be completed before you arrive. The directions to the property was not clear and it can be very confusing how to find your way around the complex of buildings. There were also a lot of mosquitoes, being so close to the water, it is inevitable.

The condo is brilliantly located in the V&A Waterfront, however still having the privacy and quiet when you retreat in the evenings.
Not only is the waterfront at your doorstep, you are within easy reach of the city centre as well as all the attractions the city of Cape Town has to offer. We’d highly recommend a stay in 001 Altmore, hosted by Kelly and Karina!

It is home away from home. stunning view, Everything was spot on. what you see, is what you get! It would be nice if they left some paddle board to use during our stay. everything was within walking distance. We didn't even have to use our car during our stay! Love the fully equipped kitchen. This is one of the finest lodgings of the 50+ Airbnbs we have stayed. Everything in the description is correct, K & K's communication was the best we have had, the space is large and very nicely furnished, and you can actually cook meals in the kitchen - lots of room, good appliances, pots & pans, cooking utensils, coffee maker and French press, lots of plates/bowls/silverware and more.
When return in September to Cape Town this will be our first choice of places to stay.

My husband and I stayed at this apartment for a week in December 2019. We really enjoyed our stay!

The location couldn’t be better - it’s a short walk away from the V&A harbour, where you’ll find a food market with everything from vegan smoothies and freshly made juice to wraps and pizza. There is also a wide variety of restaurants, and the mall is just a few more minutes’ walk. Although you’re close to the hustle and bustle, the apartment and surrounds are quiet.

The whole complex is really beautifully taken care of - the canals are cleaned daily. Your apartment comes with an included cleaning service, and you have the option of daily cleaning or cleaning once every few days (weekends are excluded).

The apartment has all the amenities you might need, and our hosts were always friendly and quick to answer any questions we had. They have provided a folder with a wide variety of recommendations on things to see and do.

The security is excellent. You also get access to one secure, underground parking bay.

The only things we would like to change: the bed was a bit firmer than we prefer, and the bedroom is not completely dark at night. That said, we would return to this airbnb any time!
