Cape Town is filled with fun things to do in Summer and one of the main events which takes placeannuallyis the 'Discovery Cape Times Big Walk'. So on Sunday the 11th of November four of our beauties decided they were going to represent and take part in this cause.[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="640"] Team Classic Travel and Team Nox[/caption]The Discovery Cape Times Big Walkis not just a day of fun but also an opportunity to give to those who are in need. Its a charity driven event which gives back to the community each year by donating proceeds to selected charity. This yearThe Steenberg Foundationand the Cancer Association of South Africa will be the main benefactors. There are 10 legs to this walk, starting with a 5km and leading up to an 80km stretch. Whilst the girls are not exactly unfit, they didn't think it necessary to take on more than 20kms and settled on the 13 km route. This route started at 07:30am on a Sunday morning, on the corner ofMain Rd and Zwaans Rd, Retreat. They started in Retreat and made their way north up the Main Road towards Mowbray. The route then takes a right turn and makes its way onto the N2 before turning left onto Liesbeek Parkway and to the finish area.[caption id="attachment_1112" align="alignnone" width="640"] The Start[/caption]Profile of this route:flat.
