Cape Towns Hidden Gems Part 2

Welcome to Part 2 of this ongoing series where we bring you some of Cape Towns Hidden Gems. These are places we think are not mentioned enough and should definitely be visited whether you're a local or visiting our great city.

Mashie Golf at The River Club

Mashie GolfThe River Club is one of Cape Towns favourite golf clubs. Centrally located in Observatory it boasts amazing views of the mountain. In addition tothe Mashie course there is a kids area, driving range, putting green, shop and a restaurant. Of course the restaurant isa great treat after a round of Mashie. The Mashie course is 9 holes anda Par 27and is open 7 days a week. It is great fun for the whole family or just a group of friends. However don't be fooled, whether you're an experienced player or just a beginner this course is a good challenge. Prices range from R65 for kids, students seniors and R75 for adults. Tranquility Cracks Hike on Table Mountain

If you're looking for a beautiful adventure in the Cape this is a hike you should try make time to do. The hike takes about 5-6 hours and is quite challenging so it is suggested you be quite fit. The hike starts in Camps Bay and heads up the Twelve Apostle's Mountains. Surrounded by a maze of rock can be quite intimidating but once through the cracks you're surrounded by the famous Fynbos. The Cape Town Diamond Museum and Shimansky showroom

Diamond Museum TourDiamonds are a girls best friend right? Well if you want to be surrounded by some of the worlds most beautiful sparkles this is the tour for you.The tour is located in Clock Tower building of the Waterfront. Once you enter the tour you are transported into a great history. Starting from the earliest diamonds all the way to showing the process of how a diamond is processed today.Finally at the end of the tour, you can go into the Shimansky diamond showroom for another great history of the company and it's stones. The cut and collectionsTo many a diamond is just a sparkly stone but to Mr Shimansky they mean so much more. He dedicated his life to perfecting the cut of a diamond and has created twosuperior cuts called My Girl and Brilliant 10. These cuts are trademarked to the brand are simply incredible to see. As well as these cuts he has created enchanting collections.

The showroom itself is a place of wonder. Firstly there are the gorgeous jewelry pieces. Secondly a very comfortable sitting area and bar to enjoy while trying on some of the pieces. And last but not at all the least, the brand has it's own signature scents. Now you can smell as stunning as you feel.
