Our Guide to the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town

The V&A Waterfront is one of Cape Towns most popular shopping malls. There is something for everyone here from exclusive shops to kids activities.

Two Oceans Aquarium

As you enter the Waterfront this is the first building you will see. Whether youre taking your kids for an outing or looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy watching some of the oceans most glorious animals this is definitely a spot to visit. There is a petting area where you can touch and learn about some of the creatures of the deep; a puppet show; large aquariums and so much more.

The Watershed Market

Watershed marketThis is a fairly new market to the Waterfront but it is filled with loads of South Africas top local designers and their incredible products. From Jewelry and clothing to African curios, youll find something to remember your trip to Cape Town.

V&A Food Market

There are many different restaurants offering tastes for every palette so you wont have to worry about getting hungry. There are also two cinema houses in the Waterfront showing some of the latest movie blockbusters and the more independent films. Outside this mall is the Cape Wheel. Enjoy a relaxing ride with the endless views of Cape Town.

Alfred Mall and Pierhead

Alfred MallThis area of the Waterfront is dedicated to local and african curios. There are lots of great products to choose from and amazing designers to meet. There is also a giant chess board to play as a group of with some newly made friends.

Clock Tower District

BreakwaterThis is a smaller centre opposite the Victoria Wharfwith something for everyone to visit from the home decor store, kiddies store and art-play area and the Aston Martin showroom.

Go Running at the Waterfront

Running at the WaterfrontIf you love your fitness you can run safely through the Waterfront. Along your way you can see everything the Waterfront has to offer and as well as the fur seals that live in the harbour. You can also stop at the many shops and restaurants along the way for a drink and snack.   As you can see the Waterfront has something for everyone on holiday.
