Noise Policy

All of our properties are located in residential areas and are for residential purposes only. 

While we want our guests to have a memorable stay with us and enjoy the property and Cape Town to the fullest, we do ask them to respect their neighbours and noise levels. 

Below are the terms of our noise policy: 

  • No excessive noise after 10pm
  • No general disturbance or disorderly behaviour which impacts the immediate community
  • The local Ratepayers and Residents Association have the right to implement a R10,000 noise and disturbance fine
  • As per section 3.1.5 on our tenancy agreement; refrain from doing anything which is illegal and/or causing any noise or nuisance that would in any way disturb the quiet and peaceful occupation enjoyed by the neighbours of the premises
Below are the steps that will be taken by Nox if this policy is not adhered to:

Once we receive a noise complaint, we will contact the guest and give a verbal warning. If the noise continues and there is another complaint/report received, we will issue the guest with a written warning and a R10,000 fine. If the guest still does not cooperate or refuses to pay the fine, a forced early departure will be implemented with 100% cancellation fees.

Please note that Nox properties are fitted with noise monitoring devices and set to a specific decibel level deemed to be unacceptable.
