The unit is very lovely and location is great.
The gate lock was faulty so late at night were unable to get in after going for dinner, this happened twice.
There was a dog barking constantly which made it very unpleasant and very noisy

after making a booking, the company of the property asked from us to either give them 20.000R and 400 wil not be returning, or just paying them 1400R which will be fully non refundable.
after I ask the guy who gave me the key, who insures us that I will get the 19,600 R back and why not the full 20,000?
he said “just took the 1400.
non of this was mention before booking, and they pretty much didn’t leave us any choice less then paying them how much they wanted.
everything I sayid her is the complete truth and it’s a shame that it’s happening

Nice, spacious apartment in a decent location. 15 mins walk from the V&A Waterfront or a 5 minute uber/taxi. The area felt safe and seems to be unaffected by loadshedding as we had uninterrupted electricity and Internet during our 4 day stay.
The plates, glasses and cutlery were not clean when we arrived. The taps in the bathroom barely worked and there seemed to be a leak from the toilet. Taps in the kitchen extremely hard to turn on and off. All small issues really, in general the apartment was excellent.

Sparse and uncomfortable lounge furniture but worst was a disgusting toilet seat that we did not want to sit on. If you want a photograph, tell me! I did my loo visit elsewhere....could not sit on such a toilet seat

Location was perfect as it is central to all tourist attractions i.e V&A waterfront, Bokaap, Table Mountian and Signal Hill as well as the CBD.
The seating/lounge area could be improved to better suit comfort rather than decor, seeing as at is the only area to relax at and watch some TV

Great location in such a cool part of Cape Town. Very safe and had most of what you need. Beds were comfy.
A few bits missing in the apartment (could have more lamps etc) and the photos are probably a little flattering - it's just a little more basic/tired than it looks.

De Waterkant is a good location on the edge of the town and a short walk from the waterfront, coffee shop and restaurants close by. Good security. Spacious apartment.
A bit dated inside, wind blows through the doors, slightly expensive for what you get.

Great location not far from the V&A Waterfront.
Great view of Table Mountain, to check out when to go up!
Cleaning staff were great going beyond what we expected.
Needed a degree in washing machine operation!
A bit of a haul to get heavy luggage to the room.

Tolles Appartment, Lage top, sehr sicher, ruhig. Schöner als auf Fotos. Liegt in Anlage „Waterkant Piazza Apartments“, innen toller Garten mit Pool! Traumhafte Lage am Signal Hill mit Teil-Blick auf Tafelberg und Hafen vom Balkon aus, morgens sonnig und später angenehm schattig und etwas Wind. Air con nicht nötig. Ein Schlafzimmer zum Balkon zur ruhigen Strasse, das andere zum Garten. Sehr bequeme Betten. Badezimmer größer und schöner als gezeigt. Room Service mit Handtuchwechsel ist inklusive aber kein Muss. Kommunikation mit unserem zuständigen sehr netten Nox-Mitarbeiter Sinethemba war perfekt per whats app, immer wenn was war hat er sich sofort gemeldet und gekümmert. Kapstadt liegt am Berg, es gibt keine Fußwege - Uber ist sehr preiswert und top. W-LAN top, Strom war immer da, Steckdosenadapter hatten wir mitgebracht. Küchenausstattung rar, aber Essengehen gut und günstig, daher Küche nicht nötig. Fußläufig gute Restaurants und Supermarkt. Waschmaschine + -mittel alles da und top.

It was great to have a shared garden and swimming pool in the middle of town.

The frequency of email communication by the hosting company Nox was a bit too much, with nearly every day another non-essential message. Also the fact that we had to pay a 500 EUR deposit, which we are waiting to get back, is a bit cumbersome.

We loved how we were greeted upon arrival. I believe it was Terrance. He even helped us with our tons of luggage. Very very kind and helpful. Loved having wifi. The balcony was great! The kitchen had everything we needed, also the cupboard spaces were great in the rooms. Oh and Z, the cleaning lady was great!!! I loved that there was a pool and I could lay out. And we appreciated having a garage to park in.

We didn't like all of the stairs. My father in law has a broken back so that was hard. We did not find any of the furniture comfortable. My husband and father in law didn't like not having dstv. The shower was small and flooded the floor everytime we used it. The non refundable deposit was a bit steep.

the check in and out was super easy - neighborhood is quiet most of the time and felt super safe.

everything got cleaned daily which was super nice. for two to three people a great stay! would book it again when coming back!

The apartment was spotless and very spacious with great details. There was daily cleaning which was very nice. Communication with the host was very good. We would stay any time again.

Only thing we were suprised was the extra costs that booking.com announced. It was supposed to be 35e but ended up being around 50e.

Very beautiful space, the decor is very elegant, thoughtfully arranged and all the pieces seem to have been picked carefully. The location is excellent as it’s central to lots of restaurants and the neighborhood itself felt very safe and lively. Jaco was a great host and made our check in and check out a smooth operation.

The flat is in a complex/piazza with stairs so if you are old or have many bags it can be a problem. The fireplace is only for decor, the TV is old and the sound is really bad so dont expect to watch any movies. The shower and bathroom are really small.

We had a very nice stay in the apartment. We had everything we needed, it was comfortable and quiet. The location was perfect to reach table mountain, the beach, Waterfront etc. by car in just a few minutes. There were nice restaurants and a large shop just around the corner. The area was really safe and there even was a security guard outside the building the whole day.

Check in/out hat reibungslos funktioniert. Wir wurden sehr freundlich und nett empfangen. Die Wohnung war sauber, schön eingerichtet und funktional. Die Lage ist optimal um die Innenstadt, Longstreet oder Waterfront etc. a zu Fuss zu erkunden. Aber auch der vorhandene Parkplatz war Gold wert. Empfehelnswert.

The most delightful 2 bedroom apartment - stylish, sleek, sophisticated and perfectly positioned! Enclosed in the centre of Cape Town’s sprawling metropolis, one is 5 minutes away from all directions, safe, discreet and completely comfortable. Sehr schöne Wohnung in Top-Lage! Wir hatten uns mit der Buchung der vorherigen Unterkunft vertan und hatten spontan angefragt ob wir schon einen Tag früher reinkönnten. Zum Glück war die Wohnung noch frei und Karina war super schnell und flexibel, so dass wir ein paar Stunden später schon wieder ein Dach überm Kopf hatten!

It’s a lovely flat with Asian artefacts around that made me feel at home. It’s easy walking distance to downtown & some quirky funky neighbourhood cafés etc. You can walk to the main waterfront in daylight, but take Übers after night. You can also hire a car down the road to go further afield. Karina is a guide too, & has left lots of suggestions. For check in, make sure you read Karina’s directions clearly & download them before you get there. The address given is a GPS address, so the road numbers don’t correspond. She has said all of this but you have to have already downloaded it to understand the layout when you arrive. Be aware that there is a serious water shortage in Cape Town this year, 2018, so you have to be responsible around water usage. Cape Town is fabulous, so have a great stay.

Karina hat uns ganz herzlich auch zu später Stunde empfangen und das Appartement ist ideal gelegen, wenn man kurze Wege in die Stadt und zu den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten haben möchte. Auch ist es eine sichere Gegend, mit Security Personal auf den Straßen und Zugang zur Anlage nur für Bewohner. Ausstattung und Beschreibung stimmen klar überein und wir können es eindeutig empfehlen.

Le logement de Karina est beau, décoré avec goût, agréable, sécurisé, très bien placé dans un endroit calme. On peut se ballader à pied de nuit dans le quartier, pleins de bar, restaurants sympas, ambiance village coloré. Le garage privé est un plus non négligeable. On est tout près du centre ville et du waterfront. Etre bien sûr d'avoir compris la procédure de sortie définitive de la résidence avant de quitter Karina.
Karina regorge de bons conseils, est très à l'écoute, disponible et très arrangeante en plus d'être sympathique et pleine de vie. Un vrai bonheur que ce séjour chez elle, j'y reviendrai!

Do yourself a favour and book Karina's apartment. It is perfectly situated, wonderfully appointed, and Karina was a pleasure to deal with, especially when our flight was delayed and she had to wait up until 23:00 for us to arrive!

The neighbourhood is very safe, has some good restaurants around, there is a Spar supermarket just down the hill, and although we had a car for our time there (the secure apartment parking garage was great), when we went out in the city, Uber trips to all points were super-cheap.

Karina's place comes with my highest recommendation. I hope you will enjoy her apartment as much as we did!

The apartment was exactly as described in a superb area of Cape Town. Karina was an excellent host and very accommodating/ responsive! I would recommend staying both at the apartment itself and in this part of Cape Town.

Great apartment in a lovely part of Cape Town.....short stroll from lots of cute cafes or a quick uber ride to other parts of town. Would recommend staying for a few days to get a feel of the colourful neighbourhood. The apartment itself has everything you need and also is beautifully decorated!

Very much enjoyed our stay at Karina's place which turned out exactly as expected based on pictures and description provided beforehand. Karina was very helpful during our stay and checked-up on us regularly, and kindly gave us a late check-out which we greatly appreciated. Will definitely recommend to book this place to friends and others.

Karina is a great host. She met us on arrival, communication was easy and she helpfully provided lots of information on local things to do and restaurants etc. Flat is in a fantastic location to explore Cape Town, with secure parking. It is really nicely decorated and has a good living space with two reasonably sized bedrooms. Wifi was excellent. Lots of good restaurants and bars within walking distance. Would highly recommend.

Karina was a great host. Very helpful prior to our trip and easy to communicate with. The apartment is located in a great and convenient area with superb choice of restaurants, bars and amenities close by. The area is very safe and central. The apartment is in De Waterkant, an area which I didn't know much about before visiting Cape Town but would now not consider staying anywhere else! The quaint village in the middle of Cape Town was perfect and easily accessible to everything (a short drive to Table Mountain and the Botanic Gardens, walkable to Bree street, Green Point and the Waterfront - perfect location!)
Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby for breakfast/brunch/dinner.
We were two adults but the apartment and area would also be good for a small family.

The apartment itself was very comfortable, no issues at all and Karina made it very easy and was accessible throughout our stay. The only small thing to mention (although I think it mentions it somewhere on the page anyway), is that the apartment doesn't have air conditioning, however this was not an issue for us as Karina provided fans which kept us cool at night.

Overall, I will be recommending this apartment to any fiends who visit Cape Town and we would definitely stay again when we go back!!

The apartment was great and in a very pleasant and trendy area. It has all the features one could wish for. Unfortunately construction works in the building complex started during our stay accompanied with noise and dirt, but our host Karina managed this extremely well, so we could happily stay in the end.

The apartment was exactly as pictured: bright, spacious, comfortable and clean. Great location in what has to be one of Cape Town's best neighborhoods for walking and people-watching.
The real key to what makes this place perfect, and deserving of accolades, is Karina. She was welcoming and warm and always available for questions. The difference between some like Karina who loves her apartment and cares about the occupants, and an "agent just doing a job", is everything.

Karina met us a the apartment at the specified time. We took an Uber from Cape Town airport, as she recommended this as private transfers are much more expensive.

The apartment was clean and light. There is no air conditioning, but fans are provided and you can leave the doors, which have security bars, open to get a nice breeze through the apartment.

The beds are doubles, so if you are used to anything bigger you might find yourself cuddling more than usual! ;-)

A secure, covered car parking space was provided if you are hiring a car, which is nice as car parking in De Waterkant can be difficult.

Beatiful, airy, spacious and comfortable apartment in a hip area with coffee shops, shops all in walking distance. Best bit was having my morning coffee on the balcony looking at Table Mountain.
Very useful having a garage for car parking and great wifi.
Karina was very helpful and friendly and welcoming - thanks for the bottle of wine!!
Great place place to visit Cape Town and surrounding areas. Highly recommended.

Wauw! Wat hebben we genoten in het huis van Karina!
Toen we aankwamen in Kaapstad heeft Karina continu onze vlucht in de gaten gehouden en ons super duidelijk uitgelegd waar we moesten zijn. We kwamen pas laat savonds aan maar ze heeft in het huisje gewacht tot we er waren. Een echte gastvrouw! Ze heeft ons een warm welkom gegeven en wegwijs gemaakt in het huis en de buurt. Het huis is licht, modern, ruim, superschoon en gezellig ingericht. De keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien en je kunt heerlijk sochtends buiten koffie drinken op het balkon met uitzicht op de Tafelberg. Er is een wasmachine in het huis, erg handig als je langer blijft. Bovendien is er een super goede föhn. Het gebouw is erg veilig, net zoals de buurt.
Wij vonden de buurt fantastisch. De spar is om de hoek en binnen loopafstand kun je op eindeloos veel plekken lekker koffie drinken/dineren/ontbijten/lunchen. Bovendien ben je met de Uber heel snel op andere plekken in de stad.
We waren een week in het huis en hebben een fantastische tijd gehad! We willen het huis graag aan iedereen aanraden! Tip: ga een cinnamon bun eten bij Loading Bay :-)

It was home away from home for us. The place was conveniently located in a safe location in the heart of a chic neighborhood near all the attractions that the city has to offer.
The place was nicely decorated, spacious, and clean.
Karina was super communicative and friendly to provide us with all the info we needed.

We have a great stay in the appartment. It is perfectly situated, walking distance from long street, and the city center in a very quiet area. The appartment equipment is excellent and the asian decoration is in good taste.
It was our base camp for 3 days to visit Capetown (taxis are at very reasonnable price), Simon' s town, Clifton, the Cape of Good Hope... (max 90mn in regular trafic). There is nothing to add but Karina can also gives you good advice for restaurant around the place. We strongly recommend the Karina's appartment.

Wir hatten einen superschoenen Aufenthalt in Kapstadt und daran war die Airbnb mit den tollen Tipps von Karina nicht unschuldig. Wir fühlten uns sehr sehr sehr sicher und wohl aufgehoben. Die Lage der Wohnung ist optimal, um zur Waterkant zu laufen oder ein entspanntes (supertolles) Frühstück zu geniessen. Ansonsten gibt es Uber und man ist schnell an allen touristischen Zielen.
Der Blick zum Tafelberg, der eigene (sichere) Parkplatz in der Garage, superschoenes Wohndesign, tolle kleine Café's und Restaurants im Umkreis, ein Spar Supermarkt und eine superfreundliche Kommunikation mit Karina, machen diese Wohnung zu einem Fundstueck. Falls Ihr nach Kapstadt wollt und keinen Plan habt wohin, nehmt diese Wohnung!
Wir (Reiseblog detailjaeger) waren zu zweit und Mitte September in Kapstadt. Fuer uns ein perfekter Start fuer unsere Suedafrikareise.

We had a great stay! Karina welcomed us and gave us lots of great recommendations, such as a fun wine festival Tuning the Vine. The apartment is very well located in Waterkant and especially the private parking space is very helpful as parking on the street is sometimes difficult due to lack of parking space. The interior is lovely and the apartment has all amenities we could wish for to make ourselves feel at home during our stay. Would definetely recommend this place!

Karina was warm and informative when we arrived. She had a bottle of wine and fresh towels waiting for us. When I needed to receive a parcel it turned out to be more complicated than anticipated and Karina was a great help. I highly recommend this listing. The neighborhood is safe and lively and the apartment is even better than the photos depict.

I can't speak highly enough my Karina and her flat. Throughout the entire process, Karina was responsive, warm and welcoming. She has made a real effort to make the flat feel like home to those that stay there and it's definitely paid off. The space is beautiful and bright (even more so than pictured) and smack dab in the middle of of the Cape Town's best neighborhoods. Waking up and having coffee on the terrace looking out over Table Mountain was the cherry on top of an overall wonderful experience.

The flat is in a lovely and secure community on a beautiful street within easy walking distance of cafes, restaurants, Bree Street and the waterfront. It's a perfect base for anyone seeking a fun and relaxed time in Cape Town. Cannot wait to stay again!

Karina was fantastic in meeting us and making us feel welcome - she left us a bottle of wine to enjoy and some chocolates on our pillows! The space is gorgeous, light, and airy. So beautifully decorated, with Charlotte Rhys toiletries and Terbodore coffee, and close to everything. A quick walk to coffee shops, restaurants, and my office in city center. Plus there is a beautiful view of Table Mountain - so lucky to wake up to that!

We loved staying in Karin's place. We made a very last minute booking and Karin was super accommodating, friendly and helpful.
The decor is fresh and unique with an Asian twist (as mentioned). The space is large, well kept, very clean and functional. The flat is also cool throughout the day, which was welcome with 25+ degrees outside.
The location is great as well, perfect for walking to stores, driving into town (5-10mins depending) and also tucked away enough that the area is quiet and tranquil. Highly recommended!! :)

Kariba was nice and her apartment is nice as well! Loved the furniture/design; and it was well lit. Some issues with internet /TV but Karina tried her best to fix those as they came up and if delays occurred it was because she was away/not reachable right away but she is very attentive! She is also open to special circumstances , my stay was a bit tricky with an interruption of a few days in-between and she was so accommodating! The place is clean and I enjoyed my stay + meeting the host! Perhaps only a point to note for people who intend to work from 'home' : there is no desk/table so a bit tricky BUT the apartment is in one of the best neighborhoods! Lovely restaurants and cafes just a few steps away so it's an easy fix (literally no more than a 5 minutes walk!). I would definitely recommend this place and the host!
