Doing it for the kids

The Watoto Children's Choir recently performed at a Charity Event organized by Netsport Media.Watoto is an organisation established to assist and care for orphaned children and vulnerable women of Uganda. The Choir is on a 5 month tour to raise awareness to the plight of the children of Uganda. They aim to raise funds to provide medical care, education and spiritual guidance. The event took place in the beautiful penthouse suite of the One & Only in Cape Town. The Nox Team were fortunate to be invited to this event and enjoyed the delicious snacks, sipped on wine and lapped up the view of Cape Town's harbour and Table Mountain - we truly do live in a gorgoues city! There were a variety of things on sale, ranging from CD's to books, Postcards to jewelry - all made for and by the Watoto group. The Choir was introduced by Watoto's Cape Town Ambassador, Christine Hartland. She briefly touched on the Watoto mission before asking us to watch an inspiring, 'pull-on-heart-strings' video featuring some of the children of Uganda in the Watoto program. The Choir was fun, lively and very entertaining - I highly recommend attending one of their events. Thanks to Genevieve Baretta of Netsport Media for the invitation and raising our attention to this marvelous group assisting the people of Uganda. For more information on Watoto Child Care Ministries, please go to www.watoto.com.By Eva Bauerrichter, Sales and Reservations Manager at Nox Rentals.
