Padel Tennis Comes to Camps Bay

Padel tennis is widely referred to as "the world's fastest growing sport". We're not sure if that's true or not, but it is certainly blowing up in popularity in Cape Town, with new courts opening monthly. The sport was invented in Mexico, and is widely popular in other Latin American countries, and in Spain. It's essentially a bit of a hybrid between tennis and squash, and is played with racquets resembling beach bats. It's it an easy sport to pick up, and if you're interested in giving it a try, a court has recently opened up at The Rotunda, in Camps Bay.[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="980"] Indoor padel court at The Rotunda.[/caption]If you'd like to try your hand at the game, the court can be booked at https://playtomic.io/tenant/a53411b3-1fa1-40cc-93bd-dc3fe14bfa11.Technically the sport can be played as a singles game, but it plays best as a doubles game, so get three friends and give it a try.
